Letter to Parents
Whether you are already a parent of a Kappa Delta lady or a Kappa Delta parent-to-be, let it be known that your daughter has entered/is entering something amazing. Kappa Delta is not only a sorority; it is a home away from home, a band of forever friends, and an amazing support group. Kappa Delta sorority will offer your daughter many ways to learn and grow, not only as a collegiate, but also as an individual.
In Kappa Delta Alpha Psi, we strive for excellence in a multitude of areas including: academics, social success, philanthropy, and leadership skills. In Kappa Delta, we make academics a priority by having a set GPA that each member must obtain to stay on good standings in our chapter. We make social success a priority by encouraging our women to be active in on-campus activities, clubs, and organizations—even outside of the Greek community. Giving back to the community is a huge part of our organization, nationally and locally. Our chapter works with Girl Scouts of America, Prevent Child Abuse America, and our local charity Isabel’s House, to promote confidence throughout our charitable work. We also offer many ways for our women to build leadership skills through the many appointed offices and council offices that come up for vote each year. Members are also encouraged to take on leadership opportunities outside of Kappa Delta.
Through Kappa Delta, your daughter is not only entering a small society of women, but a large community of Greek life across the nation. Kappa Delta is an organization over 230,000 strong. Kappa Delta instills wonderful traits into the lives of its members and works to better the world through our charitable and benevolent acts. We encourage the women of our chapter to follow in the words of our open motto: “Let us strive for that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest.”
We encourage you to contact us and stay updated by checking our Facebook page, Twitter, and Instagram.
